My First Impressions
Around May 2020, I started looking into becoming self-hosted. There are so many hosting websites out there it is hard to know where to start. I wanted to become self-hosted to improve my SEO and rankings on Google, monetise my blogging platform and start a mailing list. I was lucky enough to be recommended Lyrical Host by another bloggers Lyrical Host review I decided to look on their website. I have been super impressed with their customer service from the first interactions I had with them. As a completely new blogger I had no idea where to start and needed some honest advice on the process.
Lyrical Host was fairly new at this time and I wanted to find out more information before booking my migration. Lyrical Host was so helpful even before I had bought my plan. I chose to reach out to Lyrical on Twitter with a couple of queries I had before I committed to a self-hosting plan. They replied to me so quickly and sent me so many resources to help me understand the transition process. Lyrical went above and beyond with every interaction.
Amazing Technical Support
Transitioning to a self-hosted website or switching from another hosting service does not come without some minor inconveniences. Lyrical Host helped me massively and still help me from time to time in any problems I encounter.
Seeing other bloggers talk about how Lyrical Hosts’ amazing customer service is the main reason I chose them as my host, and I was not disappointed! Any issue I have had with my blog, Lyrical Host have resolved so quickly and efficiently. I have never waited more than half an hour for a reply, the customer service department really is the best!
As a newer blogger this has really helped me out as I’m still learning so I do ask many questions and they have always gave me super friendly and helpful advice. I’m so happy with the support I have received. Any issues I encounter with my blog Lyrical Host are always on hand to help out and they are so lovely. I would recommend them based on their excellent customer service alone.
Choosing a Hosting Plan for You
Lyrical Host offer a range of hosting plans depending on what your looking for in terms of space, visitors to your site. Whatever plan you choose your plan will include free website speed analysis and can be pre-optimised for speed when the team set up your website! Each of the plans offer free SSL Certificates, free theme installation and a range of other exciting benefits. You can read everything Lyrical Host offers their customers in each plan here.
Let me take you through each plan. Their plans are called Tiny, Mighty and Boss- cute names I know! Tiny starting at £13.99 a month and Boss going up at £29.99 a month! Whatever plan you choose, if you use Lyrical Host promo code RACHTALKS10 you will receive 10% off your very first plan payment so it’s well worth adding to the basket!
Tiny Plan
The Tiny Plan is the hosting plan I am on personally and allows you to host one WordPress website. This is perfect for bloggers or business owners that love to put all their effort into the one platform. It offers 50GB of SSD web space meaning your website will be fast and reliable. The plan also offers a monthly bandwidth of 80GB which equates to around 45,000 visitors to your website per month. This can vary from website to website however!
Mighty Plan
The Mighty plan allows you to host up to three WordPress sites, amazing for those looking to start a second blog! The Mighty plan is £21.99 a month. This plan offers 70GB of SSD web space per site meaning your websites will be fast and reliable. Each of your websites in the Mighty plan has a bandwidth of 110GB per month allowing approximately 65,000 visitors per month to each of your websites!
Boss Plan
Finally, the Boss plan allows you to host up to 30 websites but the amazing news is it still comes in at just £29.99 a month! The Boss Plan has unlimited SSD web space across your sites and also offers an unlimited bandwidth meaning you can have as many visitors to your site as you want without slowing down your websites!
Payment Options
Moreover, Lyrical Host also offer a range of payment options for whatever suits your circumstances. You are able to pay monthly, every six months (Saving you 10%). yearly or every two years (Saving you 15%). You can find the different packages Lyrical Host offer here. I personally chose the option to pay for my hosting every six months as this suits my personal circumstances.
Lyrical Host gives honest pricing to their customers and I value this about Lyrical Host. There’s no buying at one price and then paying a different price the month after- you pay the exact same price at renewal!

Amazing Resources and Stock Images
When you sign up to Lyrical you gain access to Lyrical Host’s massive resource library. It is an amazing added extra to your plan and one of the main things that encouraged me to sign up to Lyrical. The amount of resources Lyrical Host have in their library is insane. The resource library contains so many amazing resources including:

Lyrical Host sell The Everything Pack: 350 Flatlay Stock Photos for just £12.99 for regular customers or just £9.99 for Lyrical Host customers. I have been using these pictures for around a month now and I am loving them. You get 350 stock photos for the one-time payment and they are so pretty I use them across all my platforms.
Your Own Unique Domain Name
Essentially, becoming self-hosted allows you to customise your domain name and get rid of the annoying extension on the end of your link e.g..wordpress.com. It sometimes costs a tiny bit more money to do this but helps in the long term.
Lyrical Host also offer you your own domain at an extra charge. A customised domain portrays your blog as credible and professional and can also encourage people to visit your website. It is important to choose a domain name that is easy to remember, easy to spell and something clickable.
Would I recommend Lyrical Host?
To conclude, becoming self-hosted is worth the pennies. I can not recommend Lyrical Host enough; they have been a dream and have made my transitioning process so easy. I agree! Being self-hosted is the way to go if you want to customize your blog, have excellent support, and to rank higher on SEO. I helped a family member with his free website and found it difficult to accomplish what he wants done and he never ranks for anything.
When my hosting is up, I’m definitely moving over to lyrical host!

I found this so helpful! I’m still so new to blogging and not quite ready for self hosting I don’t think but I’ve heard a lot of good things about lyrical and I think after reading this post that when I do eventually make the jump they’ll be the ones I go with! I also love that they plant trees to help off set carbon!
I recently made the switch to them myself not too long ago, and so far have been equally as pleased with their service. You’re right they have superb customer service. I like how when I transferred my site to them they helped me make small changes on my site so that I could get rid of plugins (which always helps with speed.) They also taught me how to use many of the features that my theme has to offer. They offer many amazing community-like bonuses that I feel make them a company that I know I’ll tend to be more loyal to and less likely to want to leave because I’m a part of something bigger than just having hosting with them.

I’ve been looking at lyrical host for some time now and it looks great but moving over scared the life out of me!
It certainly feels like I am not getting the most for my money with WordPress, think I’ll go for it soon.

I love lyrical host! They make setting up a website absolutely seamless and their customer service doesn’t compare to any other hosting company! They’re my favourite host provider!

This is a great review, and I can’t say I’m surprised! I wanted to change my hosting to Lyrical Host a while ago and they analyzed my website and came to the conclusion it wouldn’t make a difference for me.
